Researchers develop novel graphene coating that converts waste heat into electrical energy

Posted On: 2024-05-02

Researchers have found that highly conductive graphene sheets can be used to enable thermoelectric capture, advancing the possibility of cheap, sustainable technologies for heat capture and conversion. Although densely packed layers of nanosheets might be expected to have improved electrical transport, fewer layers actually worked better to recycle waste heat into electrical energy. This thermoelectric transport system could be connected to an external power bank, to charge a battery, or could directly power another device.
